Today we have some exciting news to share. We have refreshed our brand and website experience for Octane customers, now available at octanesoftware.net. This redesign marks not only a new look for website, but also a transition from being consulting-focused company into a full digital service company.
The year 2020 has been a great time of exploration. As many of you know, Octane Software provides website design, web hosting, and consulting services among other things. After careful evaluation of the marketplace, we have decided to change direction on the future products and services we offer. This means discontinuing all future new development and currently ongoing website maintenance related services for clients later this year.
Why would we do this?
The Octane crew believes the future is in self-service software. Software that solves a problem and is insanely simple to use so anyone can benefit from it. This type of software is commonly known as Software as a Service (SaaS). Rather than providing services to each individual client, we believe we can refocus our efforts around building software and tools that solve problems in a scalable and self-service manner.
What happens now?
All website development and site maintenance services will continue until later this year while we work with clients to identify the right solutions going forward. We will most likely be working to move clients to our new web hosting platform, MojoEngine.com that recently launched. MojoEngine is an Octane brand and in many ways is similar to the services clients have come to expect from us today. The platform offers web hosting, a website builder, and free 24/7 phone support among other things.
Where we’ll go from here…
We want to thank all of our clients for the last 14 years. It has been a great ride and we will miss working with you. In some ways this isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning. We encourage you to sign up for an account on MojoEngine and try out our new hosting platform. Round-the-clock support isn’t something we’ve been able to offer before so we certainly feel like we are leaving every website we maintain and manage better off than we found it.
